A cost-effective way to keep vehicle batteries charged. 14-Watt flexible amorphous silicon solar panel with self-adhesive backing provides a low rate maintenance charge to the vehicle battery during daylight hours. Panel material and design allow trickle charge in low sun angle and cloudy conditions. Panel helps reduce the effect of onboard computer system battery drain when the vehicle is off. Maintaining a charged battery state when the vehicle is not in use contributes to extended battery life and a reduction in automobile battery related maintenance time. Packaged with fuse holder and fuse. Pays for itself through man-hour and maintenance cost reduction, by reducing the need to continuously jump-start a vehicle and reducing the number of replacement batteries needed over the life of a vehicle. Compensates for natural discharge and parasitic drains on your vehicle's battery. Provides the vehicle with a 14-Watt supplemental power source. Dispenses a milliamp level current to vehicle battery, helping to prevent it from draining completely. Adhesive-backed panel is wind-resistant - tested to 120 mph. Adheres to a variety of contoured surfaces. Allows for maximum solar collection as it is not dependent on mounting angle. Performance and durability verified by one year of police vehicle field testing. Adheres to fiberglass roofs. Designed to reduce concern of overcharging and to prevent reverse charging.
Product Description
The Streamlight SolarStream is a cost-effective way to keep vehicle batteries charged. This thin-film amorphous silicon solar panel provides a vehicle with a supplemental power source of up to 14 watts while in sunlight. It provides up to 950 milliamp of current to the vehicle battery, helping prevent it from draining completely. This technology allows it to be manufactured in flexible forms that can roll or fold, or conform to a contoured surface.

Better than Competing Products
There are other solar supplemental charging systems currently on the market which are made of crystalline silicon. Crystalline silicon panels are thicker and more rigid than the Streamlight SolarStream. They are not as flexible or form fitting as the Streamlight SolarStream.
In addition, the crystalline silicon systems are sometimes designed to be placed in the back of a vehicle behind tinted windows. As a result, the capacity of the solar panel is cut in half. This placement also restricts the amount of time the panel receives full sun.
Placement of a solar panel is important because its output can be reduced if even a single cell in the panel is covered by shadows. Solar panels will produce more power if they get direct sunlight.
