Keep in mind your not going to be getting the same amount of light as a 60 watt incandecent light bulb, but doing some calculations, I figure each light is about equivelent to say a 12 Watt incandecent. You have to keep in mind the idea of "useful light" though as well, because you can direct this light onto a workspace, or where you are reading. Compared to a kerosene lamp, that diffuses and wastes a lot of light all over the place, this system has way more usable light. One way I've been testing one system out is to run 3 lights all day long, say 14 hours on the dark stairs down to our basement. And if you have sunny days, the green indicator light is still on at the end of the day, showing a full charge. If I get a string of cloudy days, I go down to two or one light, because the indicator light turns to red, and shows a low charge. During the daytime, even on a cloudy day it blinks green showing it is still charging some. This is probably more use than normal, and the unit I have in the garage, I only run all 3 lights for say 4 -6 hours a day, so that battery stays charged up all the time, and seems to get through the cloudy periods just fine.****
